In a conflict-affected area in Sulu, women have been playing a critical role in peacebuilding and leading reintegration efforts. However, traditional gender norms are still strong, and some men in the community are resistant to the idea of women taking leadership roles. How would you evaluate the current efforts to empower women and propose an innovative strategy to further support their leadership in CBRR while addressing the resistance from men in the community?

Focus on women’s empowerment alone, without addressing the male resistance, as women can succeed on their own through economic independence.
Organize a series of workshops on gender equality, ensuring that men are included in the conversation and understand the value of women’s roles in peacebuilding.
Encourage women to continue their roles quietly, without confronting the resistance, as it may escalate tensions in the community.
